Connecting your inbox is a choice. Here is what the current Mail on Chat app accesses and how you can stop that access.
Google and Gmail permissions
Google sign-in provides your account identity, email address, and profile information. Mail on Chat requests permission to read Gmail and send email on your behalf so you can use inbox and reply features. You sign in with Google; Mail on Chat does not ask for your Google password.
What the service stores
The app stores your Gmail connection, WhatsApp pairing, saved contacts, scheduled-summary settings, and working data needed to process chat commands. Google access and refresh tokens are encrypted before they are stored in the database. Signing out ends your browser session; it does not remove the saved connection.
Email and AI processing
AI drafting, revisions, inbox questions, and voice transcription use Groq. Depending on the feature, instructions, draft text, recent email senders, subjects, snippets, or voice audio are sent for processing. WhatsApp messages are delivered through Meta’s WhatsApp Business service. Google processes Gmail reads and sends. Only use these features for information you are comfortable processing through these services.
Website demo and analytics
When available, the website email demo uses Resend to deliver verification and sample messages to the address you enter. It does not send from a connected user’s Gmail. The site can use Google Analytics when configured by the operator. Essential session cookies support sign-in, and your theme preference is stored in your browser.
Stop access
Disconnect WhatsApp from the app to remove the pairing. To stop Gmail access, remove Mail on Chat from your Google account connections. Revoking access does not itself delete existing app records or messages already delivered through Gmail or WhatsApp.
Current availability
Mail on Chat is in testing. Google has not yet verified its Gmail permissions, so account access may be limited to approved testers. This page describes the current implementation; it does not promise a retention period or an automated account-deletion feature.
