Google and Gmail permissions

Google sign-in provides your account identity, email address, and profile information. MailOnChat requests permission to read Gmail and send email on your behalf so you can use inbox and reply features. You sign in with Google; MailOnChat does not ask for your Google password.

Microsoft and Outlook permissions

Microsoft sign-in uses the Microsoft identity platform and works with both personal Outlook.com accounts and work or school Microsoft 365 accounts. MailOnChat requests User.Read to read your basic profile and email address, Mail.Read to show your messages, Mail.Send to send on your behalf, and offline_access so the connection survives without repeated sign-in. Mail is read and sent through Microsoft Graph. You sign in with Microsoft; MailOnChat does not ask for your Microsoft password. Unlike Gmail, Outlook does not require an invite.

If you connect a work or school account, your organisation’s administrator may control or revoke that consent.

What the service stores

The app stores your mailbox connection (Gmail or Outlook), WhatsApp pairing, saved contacts, scheduled-summary settings, and working data needed to process chat commands. Google and Microsoft access and refresh tokens are both encrypted before they are stored in the database. Signing out ends your browser session; it does not remove the saved connection.

Email and AI processing

AI drafting, revisions, inbox questions, and voice transcription use Groq. Depending on the feature, instructions, draft text, recent email senders, subjects, snippets, or voice audio are sent for processing. WhatsApp messages are delivered through Meta’s WhatsApp Business service. Google processes Gmail reads and sends; Microsoft processes Outlook and Microsoft 365 reads and sends. Only use these features for information you are comfortable processing through these services.

Website demo and analytics

When available, the website email demo uses Resend to deliver verification and sample messages to the address you enter. It does not send from a connected user’s mailbox. The site can use Google Analytics when configured by the operator. Essential session cookies support sign-in, and your theme preference is stored in your browser.

Stop access

Disconnect WhatsApp from the app to remove the pairing. To stop Gmail access, remove MailOnChat from your Google account connections. To stop Outlook or Microsoft 365 access, remove MailOnChat from your Microsoft account app permissions; for a work or school account, use My Apps or ask your administrator. Revoking access does not itself delete existing app records or messages already delivered through your mailbox or WhatsApp.

Current availability

MailOnChat is in testing. Google has not yet verified its Gmail permissions, so Gmail access is limited to approved testers. Outlook and Microsoft 365 accounts can connect without an invite. This page describes the current implementation; it does not promise a retention period or an automated account-deletion feature.
