A LITTLE HELPHow to connect Gmail or Outlook to WhatsApp
There are two ways in. Outlook and Microsoft 365 connect straight away. Gmail is invite-only while Google finishes verifying MailOnChat’s permissions.
1. Connect a mailbox
Outlook or Microsoft 365 — no invite
Choose Connect Outlook on the home page or the sign-in page, then sign in with Microsoft and approve the read and send permissions. Personal Outlook.com accounts and work or school Microsoft 365 accounts both work. On a work account, your administrator may need to allow the app.
Gmail — invite only
Submit your Gmail on the request access page. We add approved addresses as Google Cloud test users (about 100 seats) and email you a private connect link — it is not listed on the public site. Open that link, continue with Google, and review the read and send permissions. You may see Google’s unverified-app warning; continue only if you trust MailOnChat.
2. Pair WhatsApp
Open “Connect WhatsApp” in the inbox. Send the six-digit pairing code to the business number shown there. Codes expire; if yours no longer works, generate a new one from the app. Keep pairing codes private.
3. Start a conversation
Send hi for the menu or inbox for recent mail. Use the compose and reply options to write an email. Check the recipient and message before confirming a send. AI drafts can contain mistakes.
Reconnect an expired session
If mailbox access expires, use the reconnect link we send in WhatsApp and sign in again with the same account — the private connect link from your invite email for Gmail, or Connect Outlook for Microsoft. Your existing WhatsApp pairing can remain in place.
Disconnect or stop mailbox access
Use the disconnect control in the app to unlink WhatsApp. Signing out alone does not revoke a mailbox connection.
To revoke Gmail, open Google account connections, select MailOnChat, and remove its access.
To revoke Outlook or Microsoft 365, open your Microsoft account app permissions — or, for a work or school account, My Apps or your administrator.
